The Friends of Bowers Farm is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the programs, and preservation of Bowers School Farm. Founded in 2010, the group was created to raise funds and build community engagement around this unique educational and agricultural property. Over the past 25 years, we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and contributed thousands of volunteer hours through fundraising events and outreach efforts, all in service of sustaining the farm and enriching the experiences it provides for the community.

To support, preserve, and enhance the Bowers School Farm property, programs, and activities through financial support, community outreach, and volunteerism.

Bloomfield Hills Schools and Oakland County Parks are exploring a potential partnership to preserve and strengthen Bowers School Farm and the Johnson Nature Center. While no formal agreements have been made, early discussion suggest a model in which Bloomfield Hills Schools would continue to have priority access for educational programming and Oakland County Parks would oversee recreation-related operations. and facility maintenance.
